Engine Coolant Leak

  Water Pump - The vent hole just under the pulley shaft of the car water pump.
  Radiator - The hose connections around the radiator or the radiator core itself.
  Heater Core - Inside or around the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unit.
  Freeze Plugs - On the sides of the block and the cylinder head.

• Some vehicles also experience an internal overflow.
• These are difficult to spot visibly and are also very expensive to repair.
• If you are unable to locate the spot but are still convinced about the problem, it is most certainly an internal leak.
• You are then in for some big trouble and repair work.

• The safest way is to take it to someone, who can accurately tell you the extent of damage and also fix it for you.

• Your mechanic will ask you a lot of details about the amount of time the overheating has been occurring, and in extreme cases, you may even need to replace the entire water pump.
